BONUS
POINTS:
for
LOGGING
ON:
For logging on to the Project Ignite Contest website once a week, from Motzei Shabbat until sundown the next Friday (7 days), participants get 5 points. Maximum number of points that can be earned from logging on is 65 points (13 weeks x 5 points per week.)
PRAYING WITH FIRE:
For learning the daily lesson in ‘Praying With Fire,’ participants can earn 20 points per day. Reading done before participant’s region joins the contest cannot count for the contest. Maximum number of points that can be earned from reading ‘Praying With Fire’ lessons is 1780 points (89 days x 20 points per day).
NOTE: The contest is open to NCSYers learning either ‘Praying with Fire’ or ‘Praying with Fire 2.’However, in order to be fair, we are only giving points for 89 days worth of learning, since that is the length of Praying with Fire. Those who are learning Praying with Fire 2 are encouraged to complete the entire book (118 lessons), but will only receive points for up to 89 days.
NEWSLETTER:
“Praying
with
Passion” is
a
weekly
email
newsletter
about
the
meaning
of
the
prayers. Participants
should
read
it
by
the
end
of
Shabbat
each
week
to
get
25
points. Maximum number of points from reading PRAYING WITH PASSION newsletters is 325 points (13 weeks x 25 points).
PERSONAL
PRAYER:
Participants
can
earn
5
points
for
each
day
that
they
pray
at
least
once
in
their
own
words,
outside
the
standard
davening.
Maximum number of points that can be earned from personal prayer is 445 points (89 days x 5 points per day).
DAVENING
SHACHARIT :
Participants
can earn
10 points
for each
day that
they daven
Shacharit.
Maximum number of points that can be earned from davening shacharit is 890 points (89 days x 10 points per day).
DAVENING
MINCHA oR MAARIV:
Participants can earn 5 points for each day that they daven mincha OR maariv. Maximum number of points that can be earned from davening mincha/maariv is 445 points (89 days x 5 points per day).
KAVANNAH
CHALLENGE:
Participants can earn 10 points for each day that they read one of the Kavannah Challenges from the Kavannah Challenge pamphlet and make that challenge a focus of that day’s davening. Participants are allowed to repeat and read the same challenge for as many days as they want – but maximum points that can be earned per day is 10 points. Maximum number of points that can be earned from reading kavannah challenges is 890 points (89 days x 10 points per day).
TELECONFERENCE:
At least three times during the duration of the contest, there will be a NCSY/V’Ani Tefillah Foundation teleconference with the author of Praying With Fire, Rabbi Heshy Kleinman. For participating in the teleconference, participants get 50 points. Maximum number of points that can be earned by participating in teleconferences is 150 points (50 points x 3 teleconferences.)
ENTERING

Contest will end at the end of the current NCSY programming year, all points must be entered by that date.
